These are the people that travel with me around the world, relentlessly providing their support and expertice. Without the people that make up my team, my achievements simply would not be possible.
He has throughout his career trained a multitude of skiers in the absolute world elite, both male and female athletes, and in the season of 2001/2002 he also became my personal coach. As coach, he has the ability to see the small things that ultimately is what turns out to make a big difference. He is stubborn and is the one who always leaves the ski slope last. He is a very generous person and loves the outdoor life, particularly hunting in all forms. He often brings the whole family on fishing trips or other outdoor activities. He always seems to have some project going on, but he rarely seems to be able to keep track of his personal belongings. For instance, his sun glasses, which magically seem to disappear from time to time. One thing that he has complete control over is however my gear, that is a top priority.
Mikael is a multi-talented person that has a background as a junior-level teacher and a ski instructor. In 2001 he stepped straight in to the heat in the world championships in St. Anton where I got my first gold medal. Ever since he has been working with the national team. Mikael is really the balance in the team. He makes sure that everyone is okay and he is really the right hand of my dad. He also enjoys dancing what only can be described as a form of ballet, only dressed in his underpants. He is one of my closest friends and each year, we spend about 300 days together. He is responsible for my physical training amongst many other things. We have many duels on mountain-bikes and he always manages to make me laugh when I most need it. He is a great gourmet and an amazing cook.
Christian entered my team in spring 2008. When I was in the process of changing ski manufacturer, I was without a service man. The, I heard about Christian and it turned out that he was ready to join Team Pärson. I actually knew him from before when he was working for Birgitte Heeb from Liechtenstein. He is a very calm person with lots of good ideas related to my material and skiing. He has a background as a coach and so his eyes for technique is a strength as well. He has just bought a Mustang from the states och is looking forward towards driving it in the summer.
I have been working with Calle for many years. He is responsible for the fysio-team and is the person that I always bring to the big championships. He is what i like to call “the golden weapon”, he got that name after the championships in Åre, 2007. Calle runs a naprapathic clinic (Spinex) in Stockholm.
Per is the most punctual human being I have ever met. He is fairly new to the world cup circus, but he has adapted to it in a very fast and efficient way. He is eager to learn new things och has never far to a laugh. He works in Stockholm together with Calle in the Spinex clinic.
We call her the energy bomb from the city of Halmstad. Anna has recently returned to the world cup tour after spending some time away. She has had two children and she is happy to be back on the tour. Nothing can stop her, and she is full of joy and energy. She is a physiotherapist and she works in a clinic in Halmstad.
She is without a doubt one of the most experienced physiotherapists in Sweden. She works in Bosön, Stockholm. Probably half of all of the elite athletes in Sweden has visited her for rehab. I visited her after my knee surgery, for example. She has the ability to make hard rehab training into something fun and she always manages to make you put that extra effort into what you are doing.
Pelle comes from the small village of Sorsele in the north of Sweden. He loves hunting and owns five dogs. My dad and Pelle has spent a number of years together as coaches in the Swedish national team. Pelle went to Hawaii together with my father, but they both wanted to go back to Sweden in order to hunt for elk. Their wife's, however, would not let them return to Sweden so instead, they spent their time dancing Hula-hula. Is an amazing naprapath.
Jessica has a background as a professional skier and has for example competed in the world cup. She is actually related to me and we have spent countless hours together in the ski slopes. She is a trained physiotherapist and after her graduation, she joined team Pärson. Amongst other achievements, she managed the rehab training for my dad after he had his knee surgery, I have never seen him that fit! She bakes amazing cakes and she also works in my home village – Tärnaby.
